Hypnokink 101: what it is, why people do it, and how to do it yourself
Most people have head of hypnosis and some people have heard of hypnokink, but misconceptions about hypnosis are rampant. If you've ever been curious about how (or if!) it works, how to do it yourself, and/or how to integrate it into your kink practice, this class is just for you.
We will be discussing what hypnosis is, how it works, why people might be into it, and why/how people use hypnosis in their play (even if they aren't into hypnosis specifically). We will also go over some basic terms, safety measures, and the basics of how to practice hypnosis yourself.
Based on an audience vote, we will either do an optional group induction lead by the presenter or breakout rooms where participants can put their new knowledge to practice.
Zahara (any pronouns) is an autistic, agender-ish, queer switch and sex educator. They started practicing hypnokink over three years ago and have been attending kink events in the DMV for a year.
They spend their time educating people about safer sex practices and harm reduction (professionally), recommending lubes and sex toys (solicited), and telling friends fun facts relating to sex and kink (usual unprompted). They are currently aspiring to start a sex/kink education and sex toy review blog.
